Before piling on the weight I loved to walk and could walk for miles. Now I'm getting back into walking (using my FITBIT) and I must say I'm enjoying it again. Loving that I'm not huffing and puffing climbing the stairs. I'm averaging 6400 steps (2 1/2 miles) during the week and 800 steps (3 1/2 miles) on the weekends. I hope to increase my steps and miles by the end of the month.

Who's walking and how many miles and steps do you take daily?

I walk daily since about day 10 post op. I usually get in 3 - 4 miles a day for the past 3 weeks. I'm trying to break 10k steps every day, but it seems to be taking forever to build up my stamina.

I walk every other day. I'm getting in 3 miles at a minimum. I'll be glad when the weather warms up - I love walking outside.

Don't feel bad, I'm well behind you and like you I'm trying to kick it up a notch. By the end of next month I hope to be doing 10,000 steps daily. :)

I've never counted steps! I walk on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes a pop and three days per week have been following a running program.

I try to burn at least 250 and ideally at least 300 calories (according to my treadmill) when I walk. I'm sure that's off/generous but I figure it's consistent so I use the numbers in myfitnesspal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
