ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on April 18th and started at 282 lbs

Day 3 I was 272

Day 5 I am now 268.

I too was excited and scared to go thru with the surgery. Now I am so glad that I did and would do it all over again. I am now on day 5 and have gone back to work since yesterday. And that was with a hernia that was fixed..

My dr wrote me off for 4 weeks! I work in heathcare and my job can require heavy lifting' date=' pushing, etc.[/quote']

I too am in healthcare, they wrote for me to be off for 6weeks but I told them I wanted to go back after 2 weeks.

I don't have a lot of lifting so I should be good to go as long as everything goes as planned

I definitely understand its a new beginning, its the unknown make sure you take your time dont rush it relax ask questions if something dont feel right let your nurse/doc know, my 1st night I threw up blood b/c the pain med they prescribed me "morphine" was to strong so it made me nauseous so they took me off that immediately and prescribed me liquid lortab which is nasty but if u mix with crystal light in your beverage taste great and im feeling much better!

I had mine on April 12th. Doing great so far, as of now I'm walking around 2 miles a day. Only problem in having is that I'm still on the clear liquid diet and feel well most of the time. I go on soft food after I go for my two week check up on Friday. Then I'm sure my energy Lvl will go back up and I can go back to walking 8 miles a day and working out without feeling like I am completely drained.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
