Did Anyone's Insurance Co Approved with less than 100lbs pounds to lose

Recommended Posts

I know my ins co will cover the cost of lap band and I meet the BMI and I have diabetes but I only(well not only but you know what I mean I hope)

75-80 lbs to lose.

I wonder if they will deny me for that reason.

Anyone else have approx 75 pounds to lose and the ins. paid for it?

I had a bmi of 39, I went back in 2 weeks and had a bmi of 40. I have no medical problems. The day they submitted my paper work I weighed 240 and the dr said I needed to lose 75 pounds and I was thinking I needed to lose 95, lol. My insurance approved in 9 days. UHC

I am very happy to have lost 75 pounds and I am currently in size 12. I only want to lose a few more so i can get in 10's.

I have UnitedHealthcare and they have approved people who had 40lbs to lose, not sure why,:omg: they werent sick either. but with a health issue and 50lbs to lose I think most insurance companies will say yes. They don't like paying for on-going medications I think they prefer paying for a one-time surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
