New here...March 20

Recommended Posts

I'm so thankful to have found this forum. I got my surgery date last week...March 20! It's getting real. I was going to do bypass but opted for the sleeve after meeting with my surgeon. I'm so excited and just praying that for once in my life, I've found something that works. I am always very motivated and work hard on diets and exercise but when the scale stops moving at -20lbs (as it always has), I give up. Looking forward to a life change.

I was unsure of this when I started. My pre surgery weight was 475lbs. The day of my surgery I was at 450lbs, that was on 1/28. I went for a checkup with my dr on 2/15 and I was at 416. So in a little less the 3 weeks I lost 34lbs!! That still amazes me! I know it won't always come off this fast but I am beginning to realize that as long as I stick to the dr instructions I will finally be able to lose weight and keep it off. Good luck on your journey!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
