I am at the airport leaving to go home. I cannot believe its done and my journey has started. Crossing the border both ways went well for me. I met tons of fellow sleevers and the staff and Dr. We're all amazing!!! I liked the nutritionist a lot.

The hardest part for me was I felt tightness, left side from the drain was sore and I was dizzy off and on. And the first time going to the bathroom was hard because I was so looped up on meds. Each day did get better and as I type this I feel pretty darn good. Low cal Gatorade goes down smooth.

Thank you all for your thoughts! Mine are with you as well.

Here's to the loser's club soon:)

Can you elaborate on your experience and give any advice? I'm still trying to decide between the sleeve and plication.

Hey Deborah,

Welcome to the site. Check out my blog and I go into the detail about what to expect. I personally wanted the sleeve because I need a life long change and the sleeve sounded perfect to me. I did meet people when I was at the OCC that were getting the plication. They said they liked the idea of having a choice. I personally am sooo tired of the up and down and wanted a life change.

Hope that helps.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
