I like to sit and eat dinner with my family I don't cook separate food for myself I eat the same stuff just a whole lot less of it.. Don't alienate yourself at the table

I plan on doing the same thing as soon as I am allowed more foods. It's the perfect opportunity to get the whole family eating healthier. Also in regards to the Protein shakes my Doc and Nutritionist discourage liquid calories even from Protein Shakes after two weeks post op.

I have been so lucky that my fiancee has changed his eating habits. He eats everything I eat. But he will have beef and steak. I have to say it doesn't make me jealous. I can eat it eventually. He lost 15 lbs already because he stopped eating out.

But no one f's with my popsicles...just saying lol.

Not all of us are in the eat anything phase. Plus, not much appeals to me now so even when I get to the anything phase it will have to be slowly worked in.

Deecc26.. I use my Protein shakes for coffee Creamer

True to that Ms.AntiBand!!

And sometimes I eat what they are eating or at least the Protein part and sometimes I don't. Like last night I made them Pasta (never really liked pasta) So I ate something different but it far from "alienates" me from them!

I have so many other fun ways to alienate if I want to! :P

Tawnie~ I hear you girl.... My husband has always had a bowl of Cereal an hour or so before bed- every night since we have been married 11 years ago. And now-- when he goes to get it- and sits next to me on the couch and I can hear him crunching on it - I want to make him spill it on himself. Hey are you off pureed foods now? I am still on pureed.< /div>

I told my husband if he wanted to continue to eat anything after dinner he had to do so in the kitchen like a single woman!!!

I don't want food around me...

Now that he has got the hang of it, he ask can I fix you a warm Protein drink. I'm sure he does that so that way he doesn't feel bad about eating.

My family lives Pasta, rice and all the food that at this time aren't to good for me. My husband and I slowing switched from white grains to all brown and mult-grain. As my mind and stomach get the hang of things sometime is best to avoid sit down dinners ...My main focus is on eating small portions, small bites and chewing, chewing and chewing some more...Once I am in full control we will have our sit down dinner again...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
