4.5 months out and down 107 pounds!

Recommended Posts

I am soo happy with my progress! I have had a lot of issues through this journey though. Im still losing a lot of hair and still have trouble keeping food down sometimes. But for people out there that are only 2,3,4 weeks out...it gets better! I didn't think it would...I would cry because I thought things would never get better but now I feel amazing! I love it! I started at 333 and im now at 226 and my goal weight is 160 to 170. Im going to Vegas in october so my goal is to get to at least 170 by then. :) I've attached a picture of myself. Im the one on the left with the brownish blonde hair.

Thanks!! I feel great! I lost 15 before surgery...we were required to in order to have surgery. I haven't really done anything special to lose it...in fact I haven't really been working out much lately because I've been super busy but im still losing somehow.

That's amazing!! I got sleeved on 2/1, and I am down -19lbs as of day of weigh in, in only 14 days! This is great news!! Are you doing Protein Shakes, and getting in lots of liquids?

Awesome!! Congrats! I actually drink slim fast drinks bc I can't keep the Protein Powder down...and I do alot of Protein Bars too. I still don't get in 70 grams everyday though its soo hard! I do drink quite a bit of liquids though.

Ok, thanks for the heads up:). I have heard that Protein and liquids are the key. I, too, have been struggling with the powder shakes...waaay too thick! I will try the slim fast drinks and see how they work. Congrats!!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
