It's really hard to find a compatible running buddy. It always seems like you always have to give up something to make it work.

I found a running buddy on Facebook though that actually seems like we both will get something out of it. She's faster than me by about a minute per mile, but I can run quite a bit further. We're trying to meet up once a week to run. She pushes me to go faster and I push her to keep running. So far it's working, but not sure about the long term as I'm planning on training to run a half and she's going to be okay with intervals. We'll see how it goes.

It's really my own responsibility and I totally own it. I needed to talk to my husband about it before I just took off on my own, but this weekend was hectic and I didn't get time to talk it over with him. I know he will understand.

It's 10:45 pm in Florida and we're still working and tomorrow I won't get to Boston until midnight. So much for being able it work out tonight or tomorrow. Sigh. Real life is interfering with my fantasy life.

Don't know if this will upload or not' date=' but I am so FREAKING excited!!! I just did a 5k, 8 weeks out!!!!

Yes it includes my 5 minute warm-up, yes I walked 5:44 part way through...but dang it I DID IT!!! Lol!!!!

(Run 1= 21:49, mid-walk=5:45, run 2=7:29)

I believe this averages to 4.65 mph

I ran farther than I ever have on this specific outdoor loop, dodging snow, ice, and standing water (major snow storm this last week in Wyoming, lol)...

Great job!

Ha! THIS is your fantasy life?!? Girl, we need to talk!!! Lol!!!

For anyone looking for some running music and has a spotify membership... I found this on gizmodo... All the songs are between 170 - 190 beats per minute which is supposed to be the ideal pace to avoid injury... Or as the article puts it.. "most people have a bouncy stride, which wastes energy and strains joints through excessive impact." Anyway they did the research and created two spotify lists.

Ran the Disney Happy Haunted Trails 5K today. Even though it was a trail run and I had to dodge and weave around the walkers' date=' I still set a PR of 37:40. Feeling pretty good today, no pain or fatigue. Next run will be a 4.25 run Tuesday morning. Hope you all, have a good weekend![/quote']

Awesome Job!

Congratulations! Good Job.

Gave the hip a couple weeks rest and feeling better. Got back on the tm this morning and started over with W4D1. It felt good!

W7D3 done!!! Too bad my shin splints are beginning to bother me a lot. Maybe I should just stop running for a while until it gets better but I don't want to stop, sigh.

Week one Day three. I despise running....Not "dislike"...DESPISE! :-)

Week 2 Day 3...Still despise running. Maybe slightly less than last week but still despise. :-)

I'm out for now on this one. Fighting a pretty bad RA flare right now. Will start again another day.

Finished W6D3' date=' 22 minutes straight! Yay![/quote']

I'm right behind you, gonna hit that day tomorrow. Keep on running!
