This has been one of the best things I've done for myself physically (second to getting sleeved). I just completed week 5 day 1. I made it through and even jogged 6 minutes instead of 5 in the last segment but I think I'll do the same tomorrow. Not sure if I'm quite ready to move on yet but I will get there :) I feel awesome about myself when I get it done in the morning. And I registered for my first 5k yesterday (November 30!).

Forgot to post W7D2 finished! Can't believe that I can run that much, and that I actually like it

Finished week 13! One more week left of Couch to 10k!

Installed the app and just got back from the first session. Anyone else interested?

Hi I am just one year out and have been training for my first half marathon. I did a 5K earlier this year and will be doing a 10k next week. Please start slow and listen to your body. You can do this!!

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I would like to encourage everyone to continue with your exercise as hard as you can. As u lose your body will move so much better. Please go slow and listen to your body but push yourself to do some things You will be so surprised when u see that u can!!

Thank for the encouragement. I really needed to hear that.

WELCOME!!

Awesome job Melissa! Not quitting is the solution to the C25K program. I was in W5 at the beginning of August and now run 5 miles at a time. I'm running a 5K tomorrow a 10K in November, another 10K in January (in Maui!!), and a half marathon in February (Disney!). I'm addicted! :)

Only 1 more week? Awesome! What are your plans when you finish?

Great job Misty! Have you scheduled a 10K race yet? My first one is next month and I can't wait.

Yesterday I turned 40' date=' 50 pounds lighter, and finished day 3 week 3 of C25K.[/quote']

Way to go! It's amazing what you'll be able to accomplish. Have you scheduled your first 5K yet?

I've been struggling lately with some knee and hip pain, but trying to run through it (not a good idea!). Took some days off to rest this week, but getting back on my program tomorrow morning at a local 5K.

I'm still working my modified Hal Higdon plan for running the half marathon in February. I'm up to 5 miles for my long runs. Also, going to Maui and Lanai to celebrate my 1 year surgiversary with my sleeve sister in January and hoping to run the Maui Oceanfront 10K.

Hope everyone has good runs this weekend!

No I haven't scheduled a race yet. I haven't gotten to 10k yet, only 8. I had knee pain when I walked for about 8 hours one day and ran the next. All back to normal after a day of "rest" (only walked maybe 3 hours). I have another day off before I run again.

Wow, be careful. Keep up the good work!

We are on vacation!
