Thanks everyone for the supporting words. I am discouraged. I just wish eating wasn't such an ordeal. I guess I should be thankful, but this set-up isn't good. I do need to talk to my MD. Unfortunately my insurance changed and now I am on the hook for everything essentially, with a new $8,000 deductible. Good luck to all and again, thanks.

Richard: your health insurance deductible really sucks! But it won't cost you $8000 to call you Dr and tell him/her what is going on. Nor will it cost that much for an office visit. Also please try to get to a support group if you can. You sound very down and the support groups are usually free. you might get some helpful information. you got the surgery cuz you wanted better health but you still have to take charge of your health both physical and mental, even if it costs you some money to do so. Good health is priceless! Hang in there!

pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op 274; 4 month post-op 266.2

Today I was feeling slightly discouraged with my stall in weight loss, so I took this picture this morning as a source of inspiration.

Starting weight: 232

Surgery weight: 221

Current Weight: 182

Surgeon: Dr Fernando Garcia

Agency: Ready 4 A Change: Alma (coordinator)

I would recommend them without hesitation!

50 pound weight loss in 4 months

So thankful for this tool and working everyday to continue making the right lifestyle modifications to keep me on the road to success

Just wondering what are some of you feb sleevers short term goals?

For me it is to lose 20 lbs by oct 19th. That was going to be a friend's wedding date but she postponed it. It's still my goal and I'm down about 4 lbs since I set that goal.

My current short term goal is to get below 180 by my 5 month check up. Currently at 188. Eating less carbs, less Snacks and trying to work in exercise, especially swimming since it is 100+ in the desert

Does anyone else have lots of hair loss. Sometimes I'm afraid to brush my hair. I lose alot with every shower I take

Yes! I was told by my dr it would last for about 6 months...it's terrible! I take Biotin everyday and it helps some but not enough!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
