Newly Sleeved

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I had surgery Feb. 7 and I'm 2 days post op. I had Lapband surgery 5 years ago and lost 114 lbs, unfortunately the band slipped last year and I had to have it removed, in the meantime I have gained back 50 lbs so I'm looking forward to my Sleeve journey and getting my weight back down again.

I'm feeling much better today (day 3) post-op, I get to add oatmeal, yogurt, creamy Soup, applesauce and my Protein Drink to my menu today. I just had a little bit of yogurt and was afraid I would feel pain since I've been experiencing pain while sipping other liquids but am happy to say that didn't happen. ;). Incision sights are still sore but pain meds take the edge off, staples come out Friday and I know I will feel much better then!

That's great!!!! I am always amazed at how different doctors are in their post op regimen. Mine only allows liquids for the first two weeks after surgery :(

I am glad you are feeling better!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
