How do I keep calm?

Recommended Posts

Been working since basically July to get my surgery after debating about WLS for most of my 20's. I got an email today confirming 2/25 at 7:30 am with my preop Friday 2/15. Up until today it has been a goal. Something to focus on. Now that I have it I'm freaking out!!! Now I'm really having those thoughts of can I do this? Can I commit for the rest of my life? What if there are complications? What if I don't wake up? What if??!?!?

Ahhhhhh!!!!!

First of all, congratulations! Second, how you feel is completely normal. I think most of us have had those feelings.

What I did was focus on the things I would be able to do after surgery. How much healthier I would be. The fact I would be around for my kiddos to grow up...

Complications do happen, as most surgeries have a risk of complications. Only you will be able to decide if its worth it to you.

My husband and I were sleeved 5 weeks ago today. We feel great! My husband is down 55lbs and I've lost 46lbs. Best decision we ever made.

Good luck, however you decide!!

Thank you. I'm going through with the surgery. I'm in disbelief that I am scheduled because for so long I have been offering support while waiting my turn. Now that its my turn I can't calm myself. LoL!! 19 days away. Just keep it together for 19 days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
