Abdominal ultrasound scared!

Recommended Posts

So I met with my surgeon today to finalize paperwork for surgery on 25 th. I had to get an ultrasound as my last requirement and I did and I'm really nervous becuz the tech took a ton of pix of my kidneys. I asked him if all was ok and he just said the radiologist wud read it and send it to my surgeon. Am I paranoid?

What if they found something? I have high BP and maybe it was something...... Ugh I don't know I'm just really depressed until I get those results.

Anyone else go thru this?

Radiologist are not allowed to give any type of diagnosis info. Even if they did see something they can't tell the person. But sounds like they were following procedure and are sending it to the correct people. Similar to X-ray, they take the pic and the doc gives the results.

It is probably nothing, as usually they take a lot of pics. But never assume no news is good news. Make sure you get the results. Too many times people fall thru the cracks because the assume if something is wrong their doc would call. I don't think it's something to worry about, but just make sure you get your results. Best wishes :)

No they didn't call. The surgeon reviewed the findings at the consult. Nothing is going to slip between the cracks because the surgeons don't want to take risks of a failure.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
