What size band do you have and what amount of fill do you have?

Recommended Posts

I have a 9cc band that is what my Dr's almost always use.

I had my first fill on 11/10/06 and had a 4cc fill.

My Dr does not do fill during surgery and will not do them for 6 weeks post op.

My next fill appointment is 12/22/06 to see if I need more.

So fare so good. I feel restriction and I think it is the perfect amount. Of course what I loose for weight will determine that.

What size band do you have?

How much of a fill do you have at a time and how much fill is in you now?

I also have a 9cc band and I have about 4ccs in it. Most of my banding journey I had about 2.5 ccs.

My first fills were small but my last (April 2005) was 2 ccs to help me lose some baby weight.

I would not want to go any tighter than I am now.

I have a 10cc swedish band, filled to 9cc. I feel that I have maximum restriction. I still have the odd day where I feel like I could eat a horse but not often....for the most part I have the restriction level I need.

As I sit here with my 4 cc fill and chicken and rice I have decided that right now this is as tight as i could go. But who knows Dec 22 is almost 6 weeks away and I might change my mind by then.

Well I am now 2 weeks post fill and have gotten a sooner fill date from 12/22/06 changed to 12/15/06. After just one week I know my fill is not enough. I ate a whole ham italian in one sitting and felt just right. The small amount of chicken and rice that was enough right after my fill in not enough to hold me more then 2 hours now.

Why does just a few days make such a difference?:hungry:

9.75cm inamed lowprofile band with 3cc's fill. It took me four fills to get there but I'm almost positive I'm going to have to go for a very slight unfill.

Band: Inamed 9.75 cm/4cc band...Low-Pro port.

Fill: Not enough.

Supposed Fill Level: 2.9 to 3.0

Fill "Feels Like" Level: 2.7 maybe :guess So I could use a teensy weensy bit more

And it's all individual. The numbers of other people are meaningless when it comes to helping you figure a good level for you.

That's why I don't put them in a tag line, it's absolutely of no revelance to anyone but me. :nervous

Remember the closer you get to goal, the more restriction you might need.

For some people, the larger they are (the larger their stomach volume) so putting the band on with a small amount of fill gives them restriction. However, as one loses (and gets smaller) then it may take more and more fill just to have that same level of restriction.

For example:

A 1.5 cc fill might seem snug on one person who weighs 280#, but might feel like absolutely nothing for another person who only weighs 180#.

So fills, schmills. The only important numbers are YOUR own numbers, period.

I'm just wondering, I haven't seen anyone else mention a band which holds 13cc.

Is there anyone else who has this band?

How many fills/how much to get restriction?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
