Wow! Sounds like the surgeon needs a psyche eval! lol!

I'm glad you are doing so well physically and mentally. You've kept such a level head throughout your ordeal. You deserve the very best of care and not a dr who is that immature.

Have a wonderful day!!

Hi Sannah,

I'm so sorry your surgeon acts so immature and unprofessional. You having a complication should make her level of care for you excel. She should want to help you and heal you and most importantly learn from it. I wish I could just hug you and then punch your dr in the arm really hard :P

My daughters are 15 and 19. They are my world. They grow up so fast. I am so sad that the time flies like it does... I sure wish I had this weight loss during their growing up years. I missed out on so much. But we are making up for lost time :)

We plan on going to see the ocean this summer! I'm really excited and so are they!

I hope your day is wonderful and I hope you are getting your rest too!

Give your sweet lil angel some snuggles from this strange lady as well hehe

Happy V day Sannah!

Well, that is even more reason to be glad you moved on after hearing that about your surgeon!

As Betty Davis said in "OfHuman bondage"

"Good riddance to bad rubbish"

Enough of that!

I hope you day is going well and squeezes to Venla!!!

Hello Lisa,

Two teenage girls!!! How is it? Are the teenage years as hard as I hear? I hope your family is having a great movie night!!! Bummer that you feel like you missed on so much when they were younger!!! You are an amazing lady and they are lucky to have you!!! Sounds like you guys go on adventures now!! Cheers to making up for lost time!!! What ocean are you going to? What a great time you'll have!!! So many memories are going to be made!!

I have been concerned about how I would care for Venla if I weren't fit. I hope that she can benefit from all these changes I am enduring. I want to teach her about nutrition and give her good habits starting young. I look forward to being able to get up off the floor with ease and one day being able to run and keep up with her. Right now, its still pretty hard to keep her pace!!! The girl is loaded with energy! I am sure you recall these days?! :)

I love it!!! Strange Lady Laura and Lisa!!! Oh little baby V is getting tons of snuggles!! :)

The surgeon is nuts!!! After writing and talking about her I am so HAPPY to give her no more energy!!! I need this energy to focus on all my positive changes!!! So, she is no longer a thought!!! :)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!:) I hope you had a great celebration with the family!!!

Best,

Sannah

Sannah...happy valentines day. Glad you are feeling better and able to have some food. How's that going for you? I had a very busy day at work and after work, but home now watching the Laker game with my sons, my grandson and my best friend. Glad tomorrow is Friday and looking forward to the weekend!

Hey Iggy!!

Your son sounds like a great character!! How sweet of him!! :) aww!! I Iove it!!! Did you guys have a great time? I am sure your son just loved everything!! How sweet!!!

I am glad Alaska was a success!! I hope things get better with the gal that is giving you grief!!!

Thanks for addressing the fear that is associated with starting food. It's a crazy ride. I don't know why I am so fearful. It's not like I was eating before my leak. food didn't cause the leak!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Sannah

Hi Sannah,

Our valentines was pretty quite around here..

I went to my sons classroom to help with the valentine party. My son got hopped up on strawberries and whipped cream!

Then this evening the piano teacher came and gave my son chocolate so I had an hour of him literally jumping around!

My poor husband pulled a 12 hour shift in the ER (he's an ER PA) came home, ate and had to go straight to bed to do another 11 to 12 hour shift again tomorrow . :(

But he will be home all weekend so he can make it up to me then :)

What about you? did your husband do anything special ?

Hello!

Quiet is nice!! :). Quiet here too! Little V is in bed!! Mama time!! Yay!

Sounds like your son had a great time today!! That is so great!! :) What a memorable day for him!!! :)

Oh boy!! A long shift and another tomorrow!! I imagine he is tired!!! I am sure you two will have a lovely weekend. Must have been extra comforting to have him around through your surgery!! How nice!!!

My hubby isn't too into Valentines day, he thinks it's a Hallmark sales gimmick. Haha. He is so sweet!! So every time around valentines he finds a reason to Celebrate because he knows I want too!! Every year it's something different. One year was Happy Olympics and he presents me with tons it flowers, chocolates and other gifts. So we celebrate in our own weird way.

We got Venla balloons, card and a toy!! :). It was fun to celebrate with her! :)

Have a great Friday!!

Best,

Sannah

My husband and I feel the same way about Valentines day. He says why Celebrate when he doesnt love me any differently on Valentines than any other day. He does little things throughout the year just randomly to show me he loves me. He's a sweetie that way.

Hope your Friday is going well. I've got my pre-op appointment in about an hour. Excited a bit.

Take care!! Have a great day!!!

I remember many years ago on valentines day my husband said something about a hallmark forced holiday he doesn't need that to express his love blah blah blah...

Well I silently judged him for about two hours!

Then I left to take our daughter to gymnastics across town and after we were done I get back to my car and there were orchids waiting for me :)

I was so happy I couldn't believe he felt so bad about how I felt that he would do that..Fast forward to now, I know I love him and I know he loves me and we are in this for the long haul... And he's right we don't need that hallmark forced Holliday :)

Hi Laura!!

I love it!! So sweet of him to bring and surprise you with Orchids in your car!! Those little romantic gestures are the best!! I loved reading your story. :). Brought a smile to my face!!

I know your hubby is probably pooped out from his long shifts!! I hope you two have some fun this weekend!! :)

Do you exercise? I am wanting to start walking. I was also approved to lift 3 pound weights. Curious what you do?

Best,

Sannah

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
