about three or four days after surgery I experienced a day or two of a pretty severe headache. I drank some tea and that killed it. It may have been a fluke, or it may have been a caffeine issue. I have no idea.

If you normally consume caffeine products then its more than likely withdraw symptoms causing the headaches. As for the diarrhea, I had it bad for a few weeks. I saw in the forum that not many had that issue but it is perfectly normal. You are on a liquid diet. Liquid in, liquid out. Your body is adjusting. My doctor said It was okay to take Imodium but honestly it didn't help much.

Just read you haven't had caffeine in 14 days. But it still could be your body's way of dealing with the changes it is going thru. Your dietary habits have changed and your body just went thru a major surgery. But remember if you ever have a concern or something doesn't feel right don't hesitate to call your doctor. Best of luck to you! Hope you feel better soon!

Are you taking anything for nausea, such as zofran? Zofran can cause headaches. The caffeine could be a culprit, too. Hope you feel better!

I had the same issue. It eventually stoped

I had a headache about three or four days post op. It wasn't sever though and chewable tylenol helped.

I had a headache while still in the hospital. That's the only thing I took pain meds for after the day of surgery. I asked for Tylenol for my headache and had to convince the rn I didn't want liquid lortab. Just Tylenol lol. Maybe it had something to do with gas rising? Not sure. Whatever the cause, hope it goes away quickly.

Just make sure your getting enough liquids. Dehydration can cause diarrhea and headache. Those are my first signs of needing more fluids, then dizziness. Right now I'm dealing with sinus infection headache so I feel your pain. I hope you start to feel better real soon!
