my husband said maybe an hour or so. and that was mainly because i had to have central line placed and they had a hard time getting it in.

Been feeling pretty good. Getting my liquids in. No I still have my gallbladder. I have some rumbling through my stomach after I drink anything. I feel ready for some thicker foods like yogurt but can't have that till next week. My pain has been minimal but I did do to much yesterday and had to take some pain meds. But much better than I thought it would be.

It's been a while since I checked in - so good to read the updates.

I'm 3 and 1/2 months post op - down 51 since surgery and 84 since preop diet :/)

Starting to see it now and feel a whole lot better health wise - just over a third of the way to goal!

Keep up the good work folks x

had my first post-op visit. And as of today I have lost 93 pounds. its so crazy to me that in less than 3 months i have lost this much already. and its not only the numbers on the scale. today i got my seat belt on without an extender. I just find there are so many small things that i can do now that people usually take for granted.

Wow Jenn you're doing incredible. 2 weeks post op I lost 15lbs and it took me a week to lose the 10 I gained in the hospital with all the fluids. Doc said the expectation is 5 to 15% so I was on the low side with 6%. I was thrilled as I basically had lost a pound a day but doc was so negative I ended up leaving the appointment so discouraged but not going to let it sabotage my success. You're an inspiration!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
