Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villareal & Dr. Elmo Aramburo Surgery 02/14

Recommended Posts

I am taking a leap of faith and going to Mexico for a band to sleeve revision. I have a infection in my port and slipped band. I have gained about 50 pounds back. My BMI is 36. I have been watching this forum for a while, first time to post. I would love any information about the doctors and what to bring or expect. Thanks for all your help!!

Betterplace2013,

I went to Dr. Lopez at Mi hospital in Tijuana. He and his wife, Dr. Osuana sometimes operate together, they have 3 different locations. I have nothing but excellent things to say about my entire experience. I used A Lighter Me as my coordinator. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns you might have. I am more than happy to share my experience with you. Good luck!!

I had my surgery in Juarez on January 9, 2015 by DR. JOSE RODRIGUEZ-VILLARREAL AND DR. ELMO ARAMBURO. They were amazing and the hospital staff were great. I had no problems and as of today I am down 68 pounds. I would go back to Mexico without hesitation.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
