February Sleevers

I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me, "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing.

I would like to here what others are thinking, going through.

My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar?

Thanks,

Kimo

how was it? I have to give it to myself for 10 days

It was not that bad at all. I had it while in hospital for 5 days. The needle is so small its not even a pinch. You have issues that's why you have to give it to yourself so far In advance?

no previous blood clot issues, but my doctor requires it, I start the day of surgery and then the next 9 days

My surgery isn't until feb 28th but I'm so nervous and scared. I keep asking myself am I doing the right thing?? I almost feel like I will loose some part of my identity because being overweight has always been a part of who I am... Sounds silly I am sure.

I understand this....doesn't sounds silly to me.

I got the pre-op diet blues.

I just don't know which protein flavor to choose.

Everyone around me's eating what they please.

Pizza' date=' fried rice, macaroni and cheese.

I'm just trying to choke yet another shake down.

Ok look, now they're passing candy around.

I'm about to eat my own shoe.

Same for me on the post- op side. My family just ate the best looking spaghetti and meatballs ive ever seen!

Trust me.....it's easier on the post op side!!! Much easier!!! I just had my first scrambled egg and I couldn't finish it! ????

I said that to my husband about baked ravioli which was not my favorite and I told him omg that is my favorite! He goes you dont even really like it...I said I do now lmao! Liquid diet was so freaking hard. I would even taken Burger King which I HATE lol. Puree is yummy compared to liquids

This pre op diet is killing me!!!! I'm starving and its only the first day :(

It gets easier kndi. Just stay away from others eating and weekends are a little tough. I think the first 4 days were the hardest but then I had no oroblems

Yes I have the pre op blues tool I want to eat my dog lol. I'm starving tomorrow I have the bowel prep on top of the liquid diet then Wednesday its the big day I almost can't wait so this torture can end lol.

Thank God I don't have bowl prep.....I had to turn my tv off because of all the food shows and commercials.....I want Pizza Hut sooooooooooo freakin bad. Today is the first day of my liquid diet that I DIDN'T cheat :( and of all nights my fam decides to eat FRIED CHICKEN! Arrrrrgh! This is torture......but anywhoo.....I report to the hospital @6am and I'm scheduled to be in the OR @9:30am on Wed. I'm so nervous!

does anybody have to have lovenox??

I have to give it to myself for 14days :-/

does anybody have to have lovenox??

Yes 14 days 2x a day the needle isnt that bad but just a slight stinging for.5 secs

They moved my surgery up to 8:45 tomorrow morning. I have to be there at 6:15.

I stayed home today after drinking the citrus of magnesia... but not too much happened. Was it supposed to? I also spent all day arguing with the finance people at the hospital. They wouldn't take my payment over the phone! Do they want my money or not?! And dealing with my surgeon's office because they lost all my bloodwork!! So much stress' date=' but at least I was distracted.

I'm praying for all you February sleevers! This is really scary for me, so if you're scared too, know I'm sending you good vibes![/quote']

I did my surgery 2/13 & got scared that a.m. whatever you do try to relax and watch a movie or do something to relax your body, you def dont want your pressure up tomorrow before or after surgery. It will def delay things. Good luck, and positive thoughts!

After 4 days it gets easier and then just stay clear of restaurants, drive thrus, and just people eating. I could have a few sugar free hard candies and that helped me. I had 3 due to it would make you gassy lol
