ive been at a stall for over 2 weeks ....just when i thought i broke it...the next day the scale goes up 2 numbers ...lol!!!I'm sure it may have to do with Fluid retention, but wondering is it possible to gain pounds from just the lil bit we eat, or is it just fluid related ? lol

i have heard that 3500 calories equals a pound at our "old" tummies , but what about our new" tiny "tummies ??? lol!

Well yes to gain a pound you still need to consume 3500 extra calories. I guess also though that any weight "gain" that we have has to be related to Water. I can eat 200 more calories than normal and gain 1.5 pounds! It is frustrating but I guess I keep my carbs low and my excess water is nil at this point. So water fluctuations it is!!

Weight and calorie conversion is NOT an exact science. It does take 3500 EXCESS calories to equal a pound lof fat however the rate at which you burn calories may reduce a bit since you are eating a very small amount. Also of course as you lose weight, the rate that you burn calories reduces since you are not lugging around as much weight.

It doesn't for me. I can up my calories by about 200 to 300 calories and gain a couple of pounds. It doesn't work the other way either. I can lower my calories by a couple hundred calories and lose a couple of pounds. The thing I need to do most to lose weight is get my Water in.

To lose weight, I need to keep my calories under 900 and drink at least 64 ounces of Water. If I don't do this, I don't lose.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
