Dec. 17 Sleevers - How are you on week out?

I'm down 13.8.

Last Thurs & Fri were rough on the head hunger.

I'm looking forward to eating something other than a Protein shake. Having French onion Soup and cream of mushroom at various holiday gatherings this week.

Still having a hard time getting in all my liquids.

I go back to the NUT on Jan. 3 for the next phase.

How are you doing?

I am down 7 lbs, I think. My scale is hard to read, because it's not digital. In any case, my BMI was 42 in July when I started the process and now it's under 40, so even if I haven't lost big numbers, I am going in the right direction.

BTW, I have been eating pureed soup about once a day since Day 5...I am using the Magic Bullet and it seems to do a good job.

Ok guys I am freaking out because I gained .9 oz and I did not exercise yesterday and I did have 6 Doritos and 5 cheese nips and I know that they are both no-nos .

I have to get back on track I did not have the surgery to gain weight

were all guilty of slipping but we get back on track my 2nd question is you had your surgery on the 17th were just 2 weeks out thats dangerous your stomach is in the healing process right now don't you know you could get a leak for eatting stuff like that ive steal have my jp tube still in for a controlled leak and all i've had is Water apple juice and broth ya i'm sick of it but a leak scares me to death! I don't want to sound goody goody it just scares me for you but just jump back on the wagon we all are guilty and be careful ! it's been rough we had our last christmas on saturday and I just fixed my kids there plates and I went and set on the couch why everybody else ate cause boy did those mash tators and stuffing and ham and turkey and sweet potatoes look good ! Good luck you got this !!!!

Today I am 3 weeks out from my surgery I went to the doctor last week and he said I was healing just fine well this morning I was touching one of my stiches from the surgery and it felt kind of hard like a lump . I had my husband look at it he said every thing looks fine but it feels hard to me I am getting worried it is the scar on the right side . It does not look red or infected I do no know what is going on or am I worrying to much

Try not to worry Hun, scars can feel very lumpy and bumpy for the first 12 months. Our skin has been cut and resewn chances are one or two fibres have overlapped. If its not weeping or red or hot or tender then it's prob just normal healing if IRS still worried give the Dr a call xxxx

Even though I was sleeved on the 17th, I don't get to see my doctor for the two-week appointment until the 2nd. I haven't even lost 10 lbs, so I am bracing myself for some kind of disappointment from him, but I don't think I did anything wrong as per his instructions.

As for SCARRING - if it feels lumpy, I think that is normal. Two of my scars are really lumpy. I would be more worried if you said the incisions were causing pain and/or if there was increased redness.

You definitely shouldn't have eaten those! It would've been better if you chewed and spit. I've done it a few times but only with little things, and I've eater a few peanuts and pistachios, but I've stopped that because there is a serious risk for a leak only being two weeks out. It's not about weight gain, it's about your health after healing. Be cautious and if you start feeling intense pain with a fever, contact your doctor right away!

One of my incisions is bumpy too, but I figured it's just healing and the stitches are still there. Once the stitches dissolve, put creams on it and rub it to get circulation into it. I think it's normal for our scars to be weird

Oh no. Vomiting AGAIN. This is seriously annoying me now. :-(

I'm sorry to hear about the vomiting! is it because you just moved to pureed foods or has it been vomiting through out the two weeks post op?

I just want to thank every for your support and I am so thankful for this forum and that I am not in this alone !

You guys have a great Monday

Hello everyone! I too was sleeved on the 17th. I am doing well also.....a couple slips but with soft foods. I am too scared to eat anything hard or crunchy after reading some of the threads of those who have had leaks. The past two days I struggled with getting in all my protein. Ugh. So tired of the protein shakes.....but know I need to push through and in one week I can move to the next phase. I went and bought a couple different brands of the shakes. One tasted awful and the other was ok. I am so thankful for this website and fellow sleevers to chat with. The support and feedback is helping me get through this so much. I did get to the gym twice and walked the treadmill for 20 min and rode the stationary bike for 20. The first time I was tired and took a nap when I got home.....second time, yesterday, I felt pretty good after. I am just taking one day at a time. Happy New Year everyone.
