  2. Thanks. We have to just keep doing what we are supposed to be doing and the weight should come off. Good luck!

  4. Weight is coming off slow for me too. I had surgery December 17th and have lost about 53. It's nice to be in smaller sizes.....but it's weird when I go shopping and try on clothes. Sizes I used to wear seem so big now.
  5. I felt bad lying to people too......I think that's why I am ok now with telling people if they ask. Everyone has been very supportive so they helps too.
  6. Before my surgery I only told family and close friends because i too didnt want to deal with negative reponses. I slowly have been telling people since I was two months out. It has surprised me how many respond that they know someone who has had WLS or have had it themselves r are thinking about it.
  7. I had a hard time with that the first couple months. I am about 3 1/2 months out and it has gotten much easier. I use crystal light and lots of ice. Hang in there....it gets better and easier.
  8. My surgery was 12/17/12 and my hair started falling out this week. I take biotin daily....get my required protein in, and take a multivitamin . I hope it stops falling out soon. Good luck.....maybe yours won't all out.

  11. My guess is that since you are burning more than taking in your body is going into starvation mode. I was taking in around 600 calories and working out too and not losing much. My surgery was 12/17/12. I have upped my calories to about 900-1000 and after a week of that the scale is moving again. This past week I finally started losing again....about 4 pounds. My total loss is about 42. Good luck. Hang in there....the weight will start coming off again.
  12. My doctor said that is where he pulled the part of the stomach out that he cut off and that is any it's a lot more tender and sore.
  13. I had surgery December 21st and have only lost 35. The nurse at my drs office said that its better to lose slower so the fat cells have time to shrink. It does get frustrating, but everyone loses at different rates. I will go several days without losing, sometimes a week then I will lose 1-3. Hang in there....keep eating the protein and drinking fluids and the weight will come off. Good luck.

  15. Yes it is hard to get it all in. I wish I could still drink Protein shakes...I have a hard time drinking them lately. Keep up the great work!
  16. I get about 60, but sometimes struggle with that much. How do you get 100 in a day?

  19. I have BC/BS and had to do the six months physician supervised doctor visits. Apparently some time last year they changed their policy requiring this be done. Good luck.
  20. I like the body fortress chocolate peanut butter. I tried the GNC brand but it upset my stomach (post op). The chocolate peanut butter tastes better if you blend it with some ice to make it like an ice cream shake. I am having problems tolerating any protein shakes post op. pre op I just drank quickly. Can't do that anymore. I did not like the isopure GNC one that came premixed in the bottle....had a very nasty smell and after taste. I have tried the premier chocolate shakes and those are ok. Good luck to you.
  21. I use my fitness pal. I have it on my iPad and can scan barcodes of the foods I eat. I like it....works great.
  22. I use fitness pal too. I put it on my iPad. It works great!
