Hi livehealthy, I find the shakes hard to drink as well. Have you tried a clear RTD protein like isopure? worked for me :)

Hey! I did look for isopure in Montreal where I live but couldnt find it... I think that worst case scenario ill have to go plattsburg and buy some there I guess...

Also if I am not mistaken I cant drink coffee pre op. Amd the fruits contain to much carbohydrate...

Where did you find it? I too have been experimenting with different flavored and can only stand the chocolate whey protein by Body Fortress (Wal Mart). The EAS powder vanilla flavor was disgusting. I have yet to order the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. I think I will do that today.

I drink Premier Protein, chocolate flavor. Get them from SAMs.

Wieder? The weight manufacturer? Hmm, I'm not familiar with a protien supplement from them. I wonder if it's one of heir weight gainers.

Well, either way, don't panic, there are tons of options out there. Give me an idea what you do like, and what restrictions you might have. I'll see if I can help you find something.

I am in UAE, we get them at a kiosk at the mall here. No unjury here so don't know about those.

Try a speciality store, Poppeys, GNC, etc, they have better tasting and better quality protein powders. They may cost a bit more, but it is worth it.

Went to GNC today and bought a box of Protein shakes. They taste great! All day today I had the following:

1 shake for Breakfast (whey body fortress chocolate)

1 shake for lunch (GNC. total lean)

Five crackers for snack and an orange ( more head hunger than anything)

Small salad with a piece of baked chicken (leg) that I broke off in the salad.

Pretty good day! I can do this!

Ooh and LOTS of water!

I guess that was the filler for the day!

I love the Total Lean shakes from GNC

I'd place it firmly in the "acceptable" category.

Disclaimer: not for the lactose intolerant.

Just curious...you know a lot and give good advice. I'm 11 weeks post-op and sick of my Protein drinks. Is it okay to eat met-rx protein plus bars? The one I've been eating (creamy Peanut Butter crisp) has 310 calories, 30 grams of protein and 3 grams of sugar

They taste way better than some of the others I've tried. I've learned my lesson of buying big without tasting. Some of the ones i have purchased have been intolerable. I will take it slow and try a few then buy a bunch once I see they are tolerable.

So which one do you think is best. The salesman tried to get me to buy Promasil. I was skeptical cause I would like to taste it first. It was zero carbs and 20G Protein but it was like $60.00. Way to much if I don't like it
