My paper were submitted to Cigna last Wednesday 12/12/12 and yesterday the surgeons coordinator called to request a Diet History that the insurance company is asking for... I think is a good sign ... What do you think??

I had my last nutritionist appt today and tommorow she will be handing everything to my coordinator tommorow cant wait

I talk to the insurance coordinator and my paper is still on the surgeons desk,

Whattttt! The coordinator said that she is waiting it submit it the surgeon had a busy week. Right?

I'm waiting on approval also paperwork was submitted on 12/17/2012 to blue cross federal. Hoping it will not take much longer, keeping my fingers crossed for everyone waiting

Insurance has until 1/19/13 to make a final determination. If external is denied, medical hardship from 401(k) and surgery soon after that. So Jan or Feb I will have surgery one way or another.

I'm right there with ya. I'm going to fight out this insurance thing until the end. If I lose, I will take from my 401(k) too. Not having the surgery is not an option at this point. Hoping for the best for both of us!!!

I just got approved today - took less than a week. But I expected that with a 51 BMI. This year has been super difficult for me and my family. My husband got hit by a drunk driver in May and I got laid off from a job I had for 20 years in November. Hoping this surgery is the first hopeful thing to happen of many for 2013! Then job hunting with a vengeance!

I have been doing the insurance dance since September. The external review is my last hope for insurance to pay. If not then ill pay. But not getting the surgery is not an option for me either. But knowing ill be getting sleeved in a month or so regardless of who pays is scary. But in a good way.

Thanks Tinarho, I'm still waiting hopefully by next week I will have an answer. This waiting period is killing me. Good luck to you. My second possible date is Dec 31st who knows maybe we will be sleeve sisters please keep me posted.

Mine was resubmitted for the 3rd time on 12/17.. I've been doing insurance requirements since June. Got my approval today!!! Best of luck to you! Hang in there!
