Any Ladies Have Lighter Menstrul Cycles After Vsg?

I am one mont post op and had my period when I had surgery. I started again a few days ago but it is very light--so light that I don't know what day to call day one, but have been spotting for 3 days. I have read that most have heavier periods after VSG...

Anyone have lighter?

I'm on the mini pill and mine are irregular and light normally because of it but now they r just so light! Weird stuff

My periods are lighter and don't last and don't last as long since I had the sleeve.

I wish! Mine was 2 weeks late after surgery (which freaked me out btw) and it came back yesterday with a vengeance! Holy cow, the cross are worse than ever and it's super heavy. And I am only 2 weeks out from surgery so I haven't taken anything for the cramps as I am not sure what I can!

Rapid weight gain/loss will affect your flow, I've gained 30lbs in 5months due to lap band complications causing me to miss a period. I freaked because I'm being sleeved the 10th and was afraid I was pregnant and would be able to get the revision. It's the same with weightloss plus keep in mind how dehydrated you are compared to before the surgery.

Try liquid Tylenol, or call the surgeon office to make certain. Cramps are horrible, I get them really bad too.

Ok mine started yesterday (a week late)! It seems to be the same. Mine are usually not heavy and only last 3-4 days. I pray it stays that way! It does explain why the scale has been going the wrong way though!

Nicole.. I'm hoping I start soon.. I'm over a week late. I'm cramping like crazy though. I woke up very frustrated this this morning because the weight seems to not be coming off. I'm a month out from surgery. And still haven't list 20 pounds yet. Not sure what's going on with all that.

With my past experience with losing weight, I always stall a week before my period then lose like 10 pounds after. I'm hoping that will happen again!

I was a week late. Today I got it for the first time and so far lighter but bad bad cramping. Uggg! Just in time to go to an inside water park with my kids this weekend.

Even mine doesn't last long after the sleeve.....what is d problem?

I'm 5 weeks post op and am also about a week late. Freaking out just a little. Lol. I have seemed to be losing very slowly also....maybe retaining Water? I'm not sure what's goin on either...it seems everyone is different. Hopefully you start soon and hit that 20lbs! :)

Ok.. I'm feeling more back to normal.. Got my cycle today. 6 weeks post op.. Cramps are pretty bad though. Now it's time for the weight to really fall off. Stay encouraged ladies!

Well went to my second post op dr. Visit and I'm 24 pounds down in 6 1/2 weeks. I am happy with that I suppose. I tell ya, I sure do feel better after my cycle started, it's like my body is back to normal and I feel like I have super powers from all the energy that I've had lately.

3 months out ....have periods only for 2 days
