Shrinking Sizes- Clothes Idea

Recommended Posts

Im sure most of you are like me shrinking sizes very fast. I buy something and wear it maybe once or twice and then its too big. I dont have any friends/family that wear these sizes and I have a HUGE pile of clothes that I was going to donate. Someone I work with suggested that I might reach out to a support groups and see what other people are doing with their clothes that are too big. I was thinking if I could find enough people in my area (Frederick, Maryland) that I could do a clothes swap. Let me know what you think??

If you have a shelter or a place like My SIsters Closet (a place that provides working wardrobe for women who are/have been homeless and are going back to work) or something please consider donating them. Most people don't donate nice larger sized clothing.

For example, one location has a list on their website of their recent needs:

  • Travel-sized toothpaste
  • Travel-sized Shampoo and conditioner
  • Hair ties, hair brushes, and other tools
  • Gently used make-up
  • Dress slacks
  • Dress jeans
  • Office appropriate shirts and blouses
  • Dress and work shoes (especially sizes 9 and up)
  • Gently used bras and new underwear

Goodwill.

I am about at goal and will continue to get most of my clothes there. Granted, we do have a good one.

I plan on going to goodwill during my losing phase. Also have a really nice consignment shop that I'm thinking about taking some of my nicer stuff that doesn't fit me. Hoping to trade in or get store credit so I can swap out for things that fit! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
