So did I Kathy... When was your surgery?

How did you like St Vincent's?

\

My surgery was on November 7.

I have mixed feelings regarding St Vincents, The surgeon was great, the surgery went extremely well. The hospital staff at night was awesome, the day staff seems rather busy and I didnt see them much. One thing that really bothered me, was about a week after surgery, I had a fever after office hours, and I called the hospital operator (as directed) to have the PA call me back, I never was called back, when I questioned this at the next visit, I found out that another patient had the same issue, with not being called back

I'm glad I didn't choose St. Vincent's! My brother in law had his surgery there a few years ago and tried to talk me into it!

I think you made a good choice with Parma. They're a Center Of Excellence. Everyone there is always nice and helpful.

I think so too! I went for pre- op testing today and they nurses couldn't find a vein. They stayed calm the whole time and worked together without losing their patience which is nice!

Euclid here! Finished preop requirements and am waiting for appointment with the surgeon. Now I have to keep my weight off before the surgery - not easy with the holidays!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
