Mmm, mozzarella sticks!!! Unfortunately, I can eat everything & anything, so I have to be very careful. So, to answer your question, yes, I have had one or two in the last 3 mos but no more than that.

cheese sticks are one of the standard post-op staples. As with anything, however, there are always some who have a problem with one food or another. The general rule on such things is to test new foods one at a time for tolerance - it if sets well, then great, and enjoy; if it doesn't then try it again in a couple of weeks (or months).

Are we talking about the OH-SO-YUMMY battered, deep-fried mozzarella sticks?? Not sleeved yet, but I would think they may cause a problem because of the grease. The non-battered, cold cheese sticks on the other hand..I've seen lots of folks say they eat them with no problems. Just have to experiment I guess, go slow and chew, chew, chew! Personally, I'd be afraid to try because I can't imagine myself eating the fried, gooey ones SLOW!! LOL Good luck!

I eat one or two a day. I only count carbs and they are zero carbs.

That's on my 2nd stage of my post op diet ... I'm only 16 days post op and I had 1 mozzarella stick yesterday for the first time...

I left it out at room temperature for a while so it could get soft and I just nibbled on it and I didn't have a problem with that at all :)

I was referring to the fried and breaded ones, but the same thing happens when I eat fresh cheese curds. I'm from WI, not sure if you can get those everywhere :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
