15 lbs per month is NOT slow! Take a look at my signature......over time, I would LOVE to be losing 15 per month on average!

Everyone is different. Honestly, it doesn't matter how fast you're losing, as long as you stay on track and losing weight over time. There will be stalls, count on it!, But over time, you will get to goal!

Keep the faith and you'll be successful!

I agree everyone is different. Don't concentrate on the weight loss but concentrate on getting your Protein and fluids in. And whatever you do walk, walk, and walk some more.

I've lost 70 lbs had my surgery on oct 10 never thought I would have lost that much that quick

I was sleeved Oct 10th also and have lost 40 lbs total. Only 20 since surgery. 70 lbs is phenomenal what was your starting weight? Mine was the starting weight 272 lbs!

I lost 21 lbs my first month and then lost about 8 lbs a month thereafter. I am still losing after 11 months. It's about 3-4 lbs a month. I have lost a total of 95 lbs.

I'm six months out and I've lost 85 pounds. The first few months the weight comes off really fast then it tapers off. Doesn't come off as well the further out you are. I'mhappy with my loss. I know everyone is different. I have to say I agree with the others here. Fifteen pounds a month is not slow but I see you are only two months out. It will probably slow some the further out you are.

The first couple of months things the weight usually comes off fairly quickly and then slows down to a more steady pace, with maybe a few stalls along the way. I was down about 32 the first month, 15 lb each of the next two months and then 10 lb per month thereafter until goal (a total of 105 lb lost).

Any weight loss from the quicky pre-op diets (1-2 weeks or less) that some docs impose should usually be counted in that first month's loss since physiologically the rapid weight loss starts when you start the serious weight loss effort and experience a major caloric deficiency, and not just at the date of surgery.

I'm three weeks out , starting weight was 363 now I'm at 304 . It feels like its coming off slowly but that's the psychological part of it . I have a fear of not loosing anymore or my scales being wrong . Lol

I think they say the heavier you are the quicker it comes off . Also I lost 15lbs prior to surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
