January 2013 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Ok...I'm hungry...starving a little....sooooo I chewed a piece of baked chicken about 30 times and swallowed....nothing happened. My sleeve accepted it very well. I am 9 days postop' date=' but so know that I didn't eat another piece...Ughhh[/quote']

Don't feel guilty I did the same thing with fish not bc I was hungry. Its mental for me. I don't feel hungry anymore my stomach just makes weird noises or moves a lot. I am 24 days out from surgery and I cannot get Protein in to save my life the shakes make me gag...long story...but you will know if you have over done it you feel it in your chest.

I' be been freezing since surgery!

I am right there with you. I am normally the hot one... But since starting the pre op diet and surgery I have noticed that I get cold very easy. I have been told it is due to not eating as much fat

I'm always cold, I've started wearing jumpers all the time. This started a week after my op, and has continued. My daughter says its due to me loosing my installation ;-)

Right now, I am required to drink 32oz Of Water and 40 to 60gm of protein....with my Protein Shake, its 60gm when I mix it with 8oz of water...I get that in by noon, and the water is smooth sailing...I am drinking Isopure or flavored water during the day and drinking my chicken broth...today I will switch some things around and see if I can work something out...because I have truly been hungry since surgery, lots of head hunger and lots of stomach hunger too...ughhhh

Yes I am getting it in....I decided not to try it again because I want to stay on track because I am losing weight real fast...but I must come to some kind of happy medium because I am truly hungry and I thought I wasn't supposed to feel this kind of hunger all the time. I will talk to my doctor and discuss if I need another type of ppi or something..i start back to work in almost 2 weeks, I want to have it all together when I return back to work.

They do according to my doc, but some people have problems with them if they're overcooked because they can get a bit rubbery.

I'm on my third week and just moving to soft food. I have been on liquids for all two weeks plus the one week prior to surgery.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
