Did you do anything different yesterday because you were feeling good? Did you eat something different? It's so hard to just take things easy I know but don't push this time. Just take it easy, take as much clear Fluid as you can. Don't worry about how much you should be getting and just do your best! Things will turn better soon and this will all just be a bump in the road.

In so sorry to hear that Lux! This journey is tough but it shouldn't be this tough! Can you ask your doctor for some anti-inflammatory drugs? That may help. It sounds like you just might be having a tough time getting rid of the stomach swelling and that may be the cause of the vomiting.

Ugh. I really hope this all settles down soon.

Zofran really helps with vomiting.

Ask for it, so you can get relief!

Hope you feel better very soon!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. At some point you are going to have to go to the doctor. If you are having nausea issues you are probably dehydrated. I know if you don't fight to get enough fluids you will go backwards. It is very important that you get anti nausea medicine and start getting at least 2 quarts of Water a day and start mixing Protein Powder in your water. Soon you will start feeling better and your appetite will return. Don't wait another day. Get checked out. Your health and life depend on it.

Lux you need to get back with your surgeon or another one and get this taken care of. It still sounds like a leak might be the issues because it's been going on for so long with no relief.

Oh and Katie...I'll know for sure next week but all looks well. If I don't need my claw anymore I'm going to mail it to Lux :)

Just keep trying lux. 40oz is better than nothing and if you are not vomiting that you are probably not at risk of dehydration. Just keep an eye on yourself, which I'm sure you are. Good luck!

From what I've read here those with the worst complications share one thing in common, a leak that is often diagnosed after weeks of intense nausea and vomiting, sometimes masked by other complications like blood loss, abcesses, and the like.

You NEED hydration and you need nutrition. It might be time to go back to the E/R and get those things taken care of and then your surgeon can re-address whether you now have a leak that needs to be dealt with. This does not sound like a stomach virus.

It is better to be safe than sorry Lux.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
