Of course I might just be over thinking everything because I'm a paranoid freak BUT I have been having some "symptoms" recently and I'm not sure if I should worry. I had my surgery a week ago, Nov 5th. and I feel fine for the most part but I notice when I walk straight for more than 10-15 minutes I begin to feel short or breath, dizzy, and EXHAUSTED!! I've been trying to call my doc but it seems because of the holiday nobody is in so any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated! By the way I do admit I can be drinking more Water but if I'm not drinking water I make sure to replace it with a Popsicle or other clear liquid... Thank You!

I was the same way for about a week. But it started about two weeks out. It turned out im hypoglycemic and had to had sugar to my diet. It added it in the form of orange juice.

Now I don't suggest doing this because your issue could be any matter of things. Drink more and remember you are only 5 days out and could simply be tired and over doing it.

Call your dr and tell the service you'd like a call back ASAP.

Good luck

Doesn't your surgeon have a number to call the on-call doctor? I wouldn't go to urgent care until you get a hold of your doctor. If you feel you need to go to the e.r. my surgeon's office asked that we go back to the hospital we had the surgery at, if that's possible for you. If this has to do with your surgery, going to an urgent care will probably be a waste of time since they aren't familiar with bariatric surgery.

You sound fine to me. You just had major surgery, take it easy, sip, sip, sip. Have some diluted unsweetened apple juice, it is delicious and may give you some energy(was diet approved for me).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
