I was sleeved the 31st and I don't seem to have a limit on liquids. I can't gulp, but it seems like I can drink a lot. Some people were talking about a medicine cup full every half hour or something, I can just keep going. Is this a bad thing? Will all this change once I can eat? Thanks for any thoughts.

I was sleeved on the 23rd and I was the same . I still can drink all I want but my food intake is very limited.

Same here, too. Sleeved on 10/22 and as long as it's Water consistency, I don't seem to be limited by this 2-4 oz thing on liquid. I've noticed though, the thicker something is, the less I can tolerate. So Soups, puddings, solids... there's a definite limit before my body goes "okay no more!"

I don't think this is a bad thing. When you are still in the hospital they expect that you will only be able to tolerate medicine cup size helpings of liquids. However, as your stomach heals, it should tolerate liquids much better. It just sounds like your body has really healed.

I'm losing between 4 and 5 pounds a week on average right now, but I had a very high start weight. I'll lose a pound or so then lose nothing for a couple days, then lose some more.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
