Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on Oct 17th. I'm down 16 pounds so far. No postop pain issues and feeling great. So glad I did it. Feeling better in my clothes and my body.

I was sleeved on October 11th. Down 26 pounds. Will take my one month "after" photos on Sunday so looking forward to comparing pictures.

I am on soft foods and introducing new things. So far so good. I definitely am not getting enough liquids in. My sleeve doesn't seem to like when things are really cold so I drink closer to room temperature but need to get more Fluid in.

Feeling good physically, energy and outlook on the future!

Surgery 10/08. Including pre op down 50. Feel much better. Cleared for regular food as i tolerate. Seems much easier now. Maybe less hunger, I drink Water of make myself wait. I did not at first. I was afraid of getting hungry idk. Certainly more restriction. Been walking, joined a gym this week. Still tired at times. Need more sleep.< /p>

Sleeved Oct 16th down 42 total, 16 preop, and gained 1 lb this week. Since spending 3 days in ICU after surgery I have been in the ER twice and was admitted for 4 days this week. I get about a 1/2 ounce of full liquids at a time and struggle with fluids. In addition, also had uti and kidney stones. Edg showed that my stomach is very narrow and irritated so I'm in fulls, Nexium, and compazine until it resolves. Getting healthy for me unfortunately has not been as easy as having the surgery, but I'm getting there.

Sleeved 10/25. On purees now but my program is very restricted. The only items added are puree tuna, chicken, turkey...

Cottage cheese, applesauce, canned green Beans, mashed potatoes, refried beans. I live on 1/4 c refried beans or tuna or chicken...three meals per day, plus two prot drinks per day. Dairy is not working for me now, so switched to Lactaid milk, and cannot eat yogurt. Having trouble getting in Water, usually 10 oz short per day, because i just feel so full all day then run out of time. I am 50F/5'10/ SW. 300/week 1 287/week 2: 277= total loss since surg 23 lbs.

Hey folks.. I was sleeved on 10/4. Down about 58 pounds! The weight loss has been a breeze.. Eating and keeping food in is my challenge. Very few things taste good and I am NEVER hungry. I'm in the gym or on the tennis courts almost every day. I rely on energy supplements to get me through my activities, as my overall energy level is very low due to my lack of food. I live on Watermelon,Popsicles and juice. 4 Triscuit crackers with a cheese slice quartered are all I can tolerate pre work out. My Doc says that my taste buds and appetite will eventually re-calibrate. Not even being able to at least nibble on any of my former favorite foods suck! I anyone else experience this?

Hey there,

At 3 weeks, are you still on full liquids? From my understanding, 3 weeks is when I can eat purée . Just curious. Goodluck either way bro

They fit , I can tell the inches coming off a lot easier than the weight! I was wearing a tight size 22 day of surgery!! So happy!! Will be posting pics soon!! I'm a loser, baby! Yeah! Lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
