I bet your super excited!! I really liked him. He told me he'd take me in the next day if my insurance would allow it. But I'd love to keep up with your progress!!

Congrats on your weight loss!! How long did it take before you started feeling better?

Thank you! I did not have much pain at all until about 1-2 weeks out then I started more pain. Amazingly at about 3 weeks out I started feeling so much better. Each day from then has gotten better and better. I think I pushed it a little too fast at first. Had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on the following Monday. I probably should have taken two weeks off but one week is doable. Now at four weeks I am feeling so much better.

How long did you wait before you started working out? I still have 4 months left of my supervised diet so I'm trying to find out all I can! But I have an app with my gp Thursday and that'll be another one down!! So hoping for a September or October surgery date.

Totally understand. So good to find out all you can. I actually tried walking on the treadmill the second week and I think it was a mistake. Stopped and just started back this week in my 4th week. Started with 20 minutes, then 25 the next day and so on. In the beginning you are weak from not much food. Trying to fight being tired now. Thinking about getting some B12 shots for energy. Your date will be here before you know it. So exciting!!

Yeah the Dr. that did the seminar said something about B12 shots. I'm so excited about this so ready for it! Nervous about the Hair loss though but i'm thinking most women probably are lol but I know it'll be worth it. It's just hair it'll grow back.

Hi Denise, We had our surgery very close to each other. Mine was April 23. So neat you were at Shelby. I really liked Dr. Christopher so much! I have not been to a support group meeting but would really love to try and make one. Are they helpful?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
