Surgery Scheduled For November 19!

Hi all!

I just found out yesterday that my insurance has approved my sleeve gastrectomy for this November 19. I wanted to share my excitement and readiness. I am a RN at the hospital that I will be having surgery at, which made this decision easier for me. I trust and respect my surgeon because I've worked with him countless times to take care of his post-op patients on my floor. We don't care for his immediate post-op bariatric patients on my floor, but ive cared for many of his other surgery cases. Its very comforting to know the hospital staff that will be taking care of me post-operatively. Basically, I CAN'T WAIT!! I wish everyone the best of luck :)

Congrats on the approval!!

Mine is on the 19th too first one on that day. Yay! Good luck

I'm on the 19th too, and I am also nurse. I am having my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Ariel Ortiz. Look forward to hearing about your success. Hope we can share in this journey together.

December sleever here wishing all you November sleevers the smoothest surgeries and gentlest recoveries. :-D

My procedure is on 11/16. Started the 2-week liquid diet last Friday (11/2). 5 8 oz. cups of milk with Carnation Instant Breakfast no sugar added, any unsweet beverage, sugar free jello-o, V-8, and up to 2 cups of broth/day. So far so good...down 3 lbs already! (Probably Water, which is always what people tell me when I mention losing low amounts....thanks for the support.) :)

I hope everyone had quick recoveries! We'll all be rocking the spring fashions in '13. Yeah us!

Congrats to all of you!!

I am scheduled for the 19th as well!! Today I start my 2 week pre-op diet! Good luck to everyone!!

I'm on the 20th congrats to all us November sleevesters :)
