I'm 10 1/2 weeks out. My surgery date was Aug. 6th. The recovery for me was so crazy, I was in bad pain for 5 weeks. I had all kinds of crazy emotions, some days happy, mostly sad & crying, some days snapping at my husband & kids for reasons I still don't know. I still feel my stitches, like a pulling feeling, my doctor say their healing. Yesterday I actually started finally feeling like my old self. I'm finally happy, through all the pain I am glad I got the sleeve.

Start weight 252

day of surgery 220

Today 208

I've lost 30lbs pre-op, post op 14lbs. I can't wait till I'm in ONEDERLAND, I haven't been there in 11 1/2 years. Just 8lbs to go.

You are doing great!! This is more than just a physical journey. It is definitely an emotional journey as well. I am sure your husband and kids understand and have no hard feelings toward you for your snapping when you were not feeling well. I am glad you are starting to feel like your old self again. I have a feeling you will be in Onederland by the end of next weeks.

Thank you. It sure is a journey, man. I do/ did apologize every time for snapping at them & they say its okay, but I think it does bother them. I hope so!!! I have upped my exercise more by 2 hours added on to my walking. Also I have just now started doing weights little ones, lol, but I'm going to work my way up to heavier weights eventually.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
