I was so sleeved 10/8 and loose or rather liquid bms started wed for me too. Im getting in at least 55 oz liquid daily trying for at least 64 but havent made it yet. I am still having liquid bms today...several times a day. Like just about every time i go pee. I hope it will get better when we progress to puree. My bariatric coordinator told me to expect this during preop teaching. Liquid in=liquid out lol

My bms are still liquid too and i was sleeved 8 oct 10. Glad to hear im not alone.

Im two weeks out and i was watching tv. I picked up a lime and ate it without thinking. For a moment i forgot i was not supposed to eat any solids. I know what you might be thinking. My husband was eating at the coffee table next to me and he had some lemons. How bad is it to eat a lemin only two weeks out. I can hear my stomach rumble but nothing else.

I am going thru it with hunger.... I just want to eat some real food...even if it is tuna salad.... I have a hubby and two young kids to cook dinner for and its so had not to try a lil piece of what they are eating....its so frustrating I want to scream...I thought my hunger hormone was gone? They ordered pizza hut last night and I decided to go nap so I would watch them eat but I smelled it and had a lil dream about a slice of pep pizza :(...I have 5 more days of full liquids then I can go to soft foods...I just don't wanna look at another Protein Shake again....sorry I'm just being real...I had to vent!!!

What are you drinking Tiffani? Have you tried broth or something with electrolytes like gatorade? Water tends to be so hard for me to drink for some reason but I've been forcing myself to drink it.

Had my surgery October 2 and Im feeling great! My tummy feels awesome and I'm on soft food now ( doctor said it was ok) everything is going down really well. Honestly chew chew chew is the best advice I can give and wait 3 to 5 minutes between chews. It works for me. I lost 30 pounds so far! I'm very happy I did this and I hope that my recovery keeps going as well as it has;)

I just noticed that you're only a couple of days post op. It will get easier over time. I was struggling to get in fluids also but now it's gotten easier. Just give it time :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
