I wore an abdominal binder when I was 10 days out, it's basically the same thing. I would think it's okay as long as you're not uncomfortable.

I had my drain for 2 weeks post op and the day after it was removed I started wearing a compression cami. I have gotten to the point where I feel strange without it now and wear one every day! I think you should be just fine!

Lol- I went back to work 5 days after my surgery and I wore a Flexees girdle the first day back!

In fact.... I have worn a girdle every single time I leave the house for the last 5 years- post-op has been no exception.

I would recommend that if you do wear a compression garment, spanx, girdle, whatever.... and open stitches, that you wash it daily or rotate your undergarments to keep it clean. In my experience, my sutures did leak a little bit and stick to the fabric of the girdle, so it was a tiny, tiny bit painful removing it.

I dont have a whole lot of sag in my stomach though.... I am thanking the spanx & girdle for that!
