  6. And from experience.. fyi... Vitamin shots are better in the abdomen and or hip... arms HURT... I just had a B6 and they put it in my arm and it took three days for it to quit hurting.. like shoving cold molasses into the muscle...
  7. Sound wires are tight that's how they transmit sound... lol sorry it was just an analogy... it does give me energy was what I was meaning...

  9. I am almost 6 weeks out and there isn't anything I cannot eat as of yet... I had my first salad last Saturday and it was GOOD... I eat a lot of shrimp because it is high in protein. I guess I have been lucky... I think the bottom line to whatever it is that you are eating is CHEWING, SPEED, and SPICE.... Not enough chewing and it hurts. Eat too fast and it hurts. Eat anything too spicy and you will suffer for it, at least this early anyway...
  10. I take one a month and I have to take it early in the morning or I won't sleep that night... wires me for sound LOL
  11. I found that if I don't pay attention to my liquid intake, I stall... the more liquid, the faster the scale starts to move.. You are less than three months out I take it? That's normal...
  12. I am almost 6 weeks post op and I eat pretty much anything I want.. albeit a lot less of it but still what I want... I just had my first salad last Saturday and it was GOOD... You will be fine, your fear is nothing that any of the rest of us didn't feel also... Just remember that your unhappiness with your current situation is what has driven you to this point and it is so worth it in the long run...

  14. I thought I was headed down the same path before my surgery. He didn't want to talk about it and was indifferent about me having it all... then came the attempts at sabotage.. junk food, going out to eat, and the like... I was already looking for another place to live because I really saw the end of the tunnel. I am almost 6 weeks post surgery and he has realized that I was dead serious about taking care of ME... When I stuck to my guns and my diets even with all the temptations and depression (from worrying about US), he has started to make a game out of it... We laugh about "how little" I eat... I finally convinced him to stop asking me what I want for dinner since I have no appetite and I only eat a few bites anyway LOL... It all got better when I started worrying more about me than him... He is a grown man and I cannot force him to think or feel something that he doesn't... Only he can change HIM... I wish you luck..

  17. Self pay = no hoops... the hoops are determined by the insurance companies.. No insurance, no hoops... All I had to do was tell the doctor what I wanted... The NUT, the shrink, the hospital, and the labs were all included in my price. Also included 1 year of follow up care. The only thing outside of that, that I had to pay for, was my after surgery meds.. Those were nearly 400 themselves.. Of course if you are not overweight and are doing it for a vanity issue, you will have a harder time finding a doctor to actually do the surgery but that was the ONLY hoop I saw...
  18. Sad part is, that is what they charge the insurance company.... I paid cash for my surgery, 12.500 for EVERYTHING... anesthesia, hospital, surgery and all...
  19. I take a B12 shot every month and it keeps my energy level higher than it would be without it...
  20. I don't mean to be rude but whether you stay the night in the hospital isn't up to a "vote"... as for the time off of work, everyone is different...
  21. No drain for me, self pay in Texas and my doctor cauterizes when he does the cut... no bleed, no leak.. I have done the legwork and haven't found one person that had a problem after their surgery with him..
  22. I would love to see your stats this far out.... Congrats!
