  2. Ok I'm here in the waiting room. Nervous doesn't even come close. Surgery time is 7:15 so quite a while to wait. Would appreciate prayers.
  3. Prayers for safe surgery and fast healing!
  4. One more day and I'll go in for a revision to sleeve and fix a hiatal hernia....getting the jetters. I have to be on two weeks of full liquids...what does that entail? Also I take BP meds and another med that is pretty big. What do you do..chop them up or did your doctor give you different meds? I just now thought about that.
  5. Good luck and safe surgery to all today and fast healing!

I drive 3 hours one way to have my preOp at the hospital..then drive 3 hours home..work one day...go back to the surgeons office on Thursday for a day long class on having the sleeve and all that goes with it. No class no surgery...then Friday at 7:15 surgery... Shaking in my boots right now....but sorta happy its fast and furious instead of waiting. New surgery date of Feb. 22!

  21. What state are you two in? One moment I want to have it over TOMORROW and the next I want to back put....but...I KNOW this is the best for me. Good luck amd safe surgery
  22. Having Surgery 2-28-13....any surgery twins out there?
  23. HEY!! We're going to be surgery twins. 2-28-13 for me too. I've bought gummi vitamins at wal-mart because I can let them dissolve in my mouth and not worry at the very beigining about chewing them. I'm a band to sleeve so I've been through alot of this before. Just make sure to take some kind of vitamin...it definitely makes a difference in how you feel. Good luck on the losing side and safe surgery
  24. Anyone one else having a revision band to sleeve on that date or first WLS surgery? My doctor is dr. Manuel Castro in Dallas and Hospital is Forest Park Medical Cemter in Dallas. We can be surgery buddies. Then join in with the Febuary Sleevers.
  25. My family and a few others know I' had the lapband in 2007. Of course they noticed I lost weight (75lbs) but never got to goal. They never said anything negative and I was happy being 75 lbs down amd not really stressing about weight loss anymore....just coasting. 18 months ago starting to have problems...had upper GI and Endo 3 months ago and found....dilation of esophagus, prolasp of my stomach through the band. Port had flipped because of adhesions...my symptoms were extreme weight loss for 3 months then weight gain with nausea. And just feeling...not right. None of my family knew any of this except my husband. Now ..I'm telling some of my family since I'm having surgery to let them know....we're a close family. I'm really having a hard time explaining why I'm having the band out and going to a sleeve...since nothing really shows on the outside except I'm gaining weight because I can't keep solid Protein down and eat more slider foods. My siblings are asking why I don't just see if I can unfill and let it all go back like before...and they say surgery is dangerous. I'm just second guessing myself all over again. Maybe I want someone to tell me I can wait and everything will be fine....then I wonder how much damage waiting longer will do. I'm soooo feeakimg confused and scared of making the wrong decision like I did with the band..even though I thought amd was told it was the best thing out there for PERMANENT weight loss. My surgery date is Feb. 28th, 2013. Thanks for listening to my crazy ramblimgs.
  26. How long did you have to stay in the hospital? My self pay price allows for 3 days. Also if you have to walk and walk are you able to walk how soon after surgery
  27. I didn't think I would feel this way but I do. I'm wanting to back out! Part of me wants to keep hoping this band will magically do what it's suppose to do. I'm also self pay and freaked put about all the money I will spend . AND I'm self employed and have a strenuous job. Anyone else had a physical job and how long did you stay off of work. I frankly can't just enjoy not working...no work no pay bills. Any words of encougment would help right now. My surgery date is feb 28th!!
