Pain Is Discouraging

Recommended Posts

Really concentrate on your Water intake for now. Especially since you have an active infection. Also the antibiotics you take to clear an UTI require lots of water. So drink as much as possible.

Water overload :)

So I have been wearing this blasted binder all night at work. And I do have to say it makes a world of difference. I took it off for a few minutes to see what would happen and yikes! Back on it went : (

I was sleeved on 8/29. Have done really well with eating' date='no nausea or vomiting, down 20 lbs.... At my 2 week post op visit my MD said the pain I was experiencing on my left side was normal. so I wasn't worried. Well it went away for a few days and IT'S BACK...

Couldn't get comfortable last night and the pain on my left side takes my breath away when I stand. Now instead of radiating into my hip it is going to my back...No it's not gas. It's as if when I stand there is something pulling at my insides..

I am a nurse and have gone back to work so I don't know if maybe I am doing to much or what is going on..

So discouraged I could cry!!![/quote']

You are doing too much. You are stressing that stitch around your stach muscle and irritating it. I had same thing and they showed me how it happens by twisting your body bending up a d down and stuff. That is why they recommend 6 week recovery. Becareful u don't want to bust that stitch too soon.

OMG! That's EXACTLY what I did two days ago! I bent and twisted and ZOWIE!!!! Darn it hurt! It's a bit better today, just feels like a slight pull. Thanks for that explanation.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
