I Finally Hit The Two's! 51 Pounds In 7 Weeks

Recommended Posts

I am so overjoyed to see 299 on the scale this morning! This might sound funny, but it finally seems real! 51 pounds is alot of weight but when you're 350 pounds and every time you step on the scale you're still in the 300's, it just seems like it's going to take forever! I'm so excited to see the scale starting with a 2!!!!! SO EXCITED!

Congrats that's great. I was wondering do u exercise? I've lost 17 lbs in one week and nothing the next week is that normal? Sometime I feel like its not gonna work for me. I feel hungry or its an upset stomach once in a awhile I eat about 2 oz puree for Breakfast lunch and dinner. Is that to much? How did your first 7 weeks go like?

Thanks everybody! I saw someone ask if I'm exercising and I'm not on a regular basis but I REALLY NEED TO! I still struggle with energy level and when I pushed myself a few weeks ago I felt so bad for a couple days I'm gun-shy :(. But I see that I really need to work out and work on toning....I notice the soft skin! Plus I want to make sure that I'm building muscle and not losing it. Also, a little more detail....I started at my highest 350, pre-op I lost 17, surgery day 333. Today is exactly 7 weeks (lost 2 more pounds) and I'm 297. So 36lbs or an average of about 5lbs per week....I'm very happy with that pace and hope I can keep it up! :). Good luck to everyone and thanks for the support!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
