I was sleeved last Tuesday almost a week ago. I have been doing well, lost some weight so far, but I am still on full liquids. I will go to creams etc on Thursday, I have really become bored and frustrated with my liquid diet and i know that I only have 2 more days of it to go! Thanks for your update because it gives me something to look forward to.

I didnt have much trouble on my preop diet because my husband was traveling and I didnt have to cook. Well while i was in the hospital my husband had to be put into a leg cast for a broken leg so he has been with me every day, which is really great because I love him being around, but the smells from the food is really difficult especially since friends have been bringing over meals to help us out during this time. When does the feeling of wishing you could just take a bite go away? I really dont feel hungry, a little bit every now and then but not really. Once I get to actually chew on something in 4 weeks, will this help?

Thanks for the help!

You know what I did when i wanted a bite of something i usually took one lol then i would spit it out and be ok I just wanted the flavor in my mouth. I will also confess what got me by on the liquid phase is looking at cookbooks and imagining what it would taste like when I cook it. I have a really great low carb high Protein cookbook that i have been drooling over lol. Nothing better than food porn lol I can honestly go to a store now without craving all that is no good for me but I sure do crave what is good for me now:)

Thanks so much!!!! I am on to creams now and it wasn't as easy and great as I thought it would be. Just a little emotional today for some reason. I know it will work out eventually and things will be better and just needing to be patient!

Big hugs!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
