If You're Looking For Follow Up Care In Az...

Recommended Posts

I contacted Dr. Michael Orris of Weightloss Institute of Arizona, who is known for taking complicated cases. On the website, they stated that they do an aftercare program for patients who have had procedures outside of the company, but they mostly spoke of the lapband. I emailed them and received a return stating they will do after care for patients sleeved in Mexico. I was quoted $500, but I'm not sure if that's one year or 3 years. They do on-site leak tests (as far as I know are included in price) and have a 24 hour emergency help line as long as you are a patient there. He's not listed as performing the sleeve, but I did read he has repaired leeks. The doctor seems highly qualified and is on tons of different boards around the valley. I'm requesting more info, but I would recommend people do their own inquiries in interested. Good luck, hope this atleast helps someone.

That's great information. I don't live in AZ but it is nice to know for people who do live there.

Did you ever follow up with Dr. Orris? I'm in Phx too and went to Dr. Kelly a couple of weeks before you. I moved to AZ about 2 years ago from the East Coast and had awful problems with my band and couldn't get a surgeon in Phx to see me. When I called Dr. Orris's office they said that they'd take out the band that day but I needed to pay $2k up front because my insurance did not reimburse them enough. Finally got seen at St. Luke's. Just curious if you had a similar experience.

I am going to see Dr. Orris in three days. I want to get the sleeve and I would love to know if anybody has been sleeved by him.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
