Weight Gain During 6 Mo. Diet

Recommended Posts

As anyone else gained a little weight during the 6 month supervised diet? I gained 4 lbs during the second month and haven't been able to lose it. I'm going into month 4 and am incredibly nervous about going through all of this just to be denied.

I do have a letter from my PCP stating that I have trouble losing because my thyroid isn't yet regulated (I'm hypo). I'm 29 bmi of 40 with asthma. Back problems. Reflux. High cholesterol. Medicaid insurance. So nervous!

My NUT said the 6 month diet that the insurance companies sometimes require is really less about losing weight at that point than it is about proving that you've made and understand the lifestyle changes necessary to support weight loss with your sleeve, such as understanding the right balance of Protein, fats and carbs, which carbs are good choices, and so on. Of course it's hoped and encouraged for you to drop some pounds - every little bit helps!

Wow! This makes me feel better.. Just finishing 1st month and already getting discouraged. Making changes but success is very slow.

Don't be discouraged! The process is tough, this changing of major elements of your life. No one expects you to be perfect right off the bat. There will be struggles, and you may backslide sometimes. Just get back on the path and keep moving forward. You'll get there if you truly want to succeed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
