All Sept 12 Sleevers - Are You Ready?

I start my pre op liquid diet on weds...not too worried about that..I already have been doing the shakes for awhile...lost 20 lbs already..mostly from worrying! I am already preadmitted...just show up and get hooked to iv...and that's it...kind of exicted and scared at the same time!

Glad to hear all went well for you' date=' my surgery went ok for me as well although the incisions are very painful especially on my left side - I also had a hiated hernia that Dr Veninga had to repair... I've had no nausea though so thank God for that ... They just gave me pain meds for the stomach pains so it's making me very sleepy but judged to give you all an update.... Hope everyone's from the 12th went great & anyone today... God bless

I am sorry to hear about the pain, but glad your sleeve was a success. Just continue walking and it will get easier! Have u done your leak test yet?

@Mgsmith72 - yes did my leak test over an hour ago & they said all of that looked good... Now if this side pain would go away I'd be pretty good... Thanks...

@readyforchange77, whats helps me with my incision pains are just sitting up and holder pillow to stomach to cough

Yes they currently have me sitting a chair & I have a pillow - coughing hurts & the hiccups was hell but burping alot to - lol

I cant eat yet, they brought me a tray in but when i tried to drink juice my mouth got real watery, didn't throw up though. Have u eaten yet?

Hi all! Checking in. Surgery was yesterday and all seemed to go well. In some pain but now that I passed my leak test, I feel so much better that I can drink! Other than that, just have one more night in hotel and hopefully I'll be headed home tomorrow! Hope everyone else had a pleasant experience!

I've been at the hospital since 8 and just sitting in the bed waiting on the surgeon. I guess he is backed up...

Ik I haven't ate anything yet - I've just had Water, chicken broth & Jello... All seems to be goin down smooth for right now....

Hey there, I'm on liquids, broth which the nurse made up for which is way better then the one from the cafeteria... Just a lot of pain in my side so stay'n in the hospital an extra night but overall it's been all good... Thank God no naseau..

Hey everyone, tolerated protein shake, now i get ti go hime yeah for me!!

My surgery is also on the September 17! My family are having mixed emotions however, they will see me though this weight loss journey. I completed my pre admission testing today and I am so ready to love, honor, and respect my body.

we have the same surgery day.. it is getting down to the wire and the nerves are kicking in.... but i am ready for a new life...to be healthy and happy
