I was sleeved yesterday. I can honestly say I felt like Hell afterwards. Damn gas pains. Today SO MUCH better, but they keep making me use this breathing thing and literally everyone I do I end up with the hiccups. Not cool at all.

I felt rough yesterday too (day of my surgery) but today has been way better. The breathing thing is annoying-especially when the incision area is sore. Had tremendous gas pains too. Glad your better today.

I was sleeved yesterday, too. The breathing meter is definitely not my favorite. I'm being kept another night, as I'm not able to get my liquids in :( I'm grateful that I don't have awful gas pains or pestering nausea. Hope everyone is resting and healing well! Back to sip sip sip, walk walk walk!

Did anyone else experience hiccups. Annoying as hell and painful on that one big incission area. Seems like when my pain meds start to west off the hiccups start up, then I take my meds and the hiccups die.

If it wasn't for the hiccups today would have been great. I'm finally being released to go home. Yeeeaaah me! Haha

I had surgery at 8 this morning, I have had to pee all day, no catheter, nothing to drink only a pill container with ice. I have went to the restroom 100 times (close) and have to say I am feeling good, no moriphine cause makes me itch, so getting dialaud (sorry can't spell) in my I.V , they said I could leave tomorrow aftnoon, and I haven't even been on any fluids, so how they know I will hold down fluids? This site (found by a accident) researching the sleeve vs the bypass, has been a tremendous source for me. Thank you all. I do have some gas pains but my biggest problem is having to pee every 5 minutes, can't wait to be.done with these fluids! Good luck to all, see ya on the losers bench.

Most likely they will have you try a couple of medicine cups of liquids and if you do well, they will let you go home. I had to down 2 medicine cups worth within 1 hour to go ;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
