Did I Seriously Just Start My Period?!

Five days post op and I start my period. My last period was the fourth week of July then out of no where, bam! My period. WTF? My cycle has always been irregular, but this is insane. Can surgery trigger your period?

So embarrassed. I didn't have any tampons with me or anything and wasn't well enough to go out so I had to ask my mother-in-law and thankfully, she had a box that I left at her house a few months ago. Never been so thankful I'm forgetful.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Yes, but I started 2 days before my surgery.......... It sucked and the Nurses stated it can be from stress or nervous!

I spotted at the hospital and after surgery fully started about 5 days early. Nurse at the hospital told me it was typical. Worst is the weight loss has almost stopped due to the fluid retention and I am on day 6 of Aunt Flo visiting when it use to only last 4 or 5. :( First 12 days post op lost 12 pounds... last 6 days lost 2 lbs. not very happy about this but there is not much we can do about it is there?

Started mine day after surgery. Ten days early!! Had stomach cramps along with the gas pain, can I say miserable!!

Thought I was only one, but to embarassed to ask. Gotta love lifes little suprises!!!

Good to know I'm not the only one. I was totally shocked when I first realized it. I wonder how this will effect my next weigh in. I weighed in at 312 the morning of surgery.
