  1. Had surgery day before you and had your exact reaction yesterday. It's bad!! Did some research on ketosis about it on google and it seems common. Read it's good because it means your burning fat, but it sure doesn't taste good. Read it smells bad too!! One of the little "suprises" on my journey . There are a few ideas on line about using suger free mints and carbfree, or shew fresh mint or parsley and some more . Give it a search and see what may work best for you. Unfortunatly I did not find anything to cure it just treat it. Sorry P.S. so far I got some sugarfree mints and have brushed my teeth quite a few times today. neither works for long.
  2. Was sleeved 8/13/12. Seems to get a little better each day. Was having hard time getting everything down at 4 days myself. My program said to do best you could and do not get dehydrated most important!! Just got all my protein and fluids in for 1st time yesterday :-) and have not gotten dehydrated.
  3. Thanks for post. Have been afraid to try greek yogurt because thought it might give me problems with fruit in it. My surgery was 8/13. When was yours?
  4. A massage sounds like a great idea!! Maybe we it should be on list of things to do after surgery. 1. Schedule yourself a massage. :-). I know my shoulders hurt from gas!!
  5. Started mine day after surgery. Ten days early!! Had stomach cramps along with the gas pain, can I say miserable!! Thought I was only one, but to embarassed to ask. Gotta love lifes little suprises!!!
  6. I am taking my blood pressure pills and antacid pills per my doctors orders. Have had no problems. Every doctor is different, as well as every program. Follow your doctors orders as long as you aren't having problems.
  7. Post op day 5. Had hard time with water too. Gets better each day! Just try one step at a time, try to get your fluids best you can.

  11. How is everyone? For me doing better every day! Does anyone have any hunger? Stated to get hungry yesterday. It's kind of scaring me. It may just be head hunger. Have been drinking water and protein like I'm supposed to. I'm sure it will work out' I just want to do everything right.
  12. Chrissie, My surgeon is Dr. Andrew Hargroder. I'm having surgery at Woman's Hospital. Date is coming fast!, Monday 8/13 at 9:00 am is it. Did pre- op interview on phone today with nurse. Everything is ready to go!! Getting nervous and excited at same time!! Sorry it take me so long to reply back. I did not even remember that there was a Baton Rouge board. Glad to know there are others close by who had same procedure. Praying everyone is doing well.

  14. Sleeve surgery 8/13. Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Glad to know there are alot of others out there scared!! Have told know one but my husband. Not even my 2 boys who are 25&17. Praying all goes great for evertone!!

  16. Feeling scared myself! My surgery date is 8/13. Have been reading everything I can. Thought about not doing it but I need to loose this weight for me!! I'm 44 with great husband and 4 great kids!! I'm ready to start checking some on my bucket list off that I can not do because of all this extra weight.
